"Everything is Possible"
What a beautiful way to end the journey that is the Major Arcana of the Tarot. The World tells us that we truly can have it all. And…that this is always how we begin again. The World is round, just like 0 The Fool, so we are reminded of the humility we must infuse into all of our accomplishments. When we get the world—yes we can get all we want, but we also must know that we will always be asked to start every journey with the attention, humility, and faith of a beginner. So revel in the culmination of your goals.
Be thankful that you can trust that each time you begin with The Fool, you will eventually reach The World—your world, the world you want.
There must be a song from the 80s that fits with…oh, right Tears for Fears “Everybody wants to rule the world.” How could I forget! This is a perfect song to summarize this card. What are we doing all this for anyway? — To rule our world. We want the life we envision, feel, yearn for, ache for, and see every time we close our eyes. The World says you can have this. The world says you can have this BECAUSE you made the journey all the way from The Fool, through the ups and downs along the way of 1-10, not stopping at the Wheel of Fortune, diving deeper through 11-20, to arrive here, wiser, more open, clearer, more alive, and fully engaged with the incredible magic of life.
Tears for Fears is a second message in the music of The World—Our emotions are one of the biggest paths towards fulfillment. Follow your feelings (no, not in that dramatic way) in a way that honors your journey and all it took to get you to this moment. When you reach The World, you will feel truly amazed, and yet you will also have that “of course. I did it,” feeling. It’s beautifully complex, just like life, just like you.
I don’t see The World come up in many readings for my clients. It’s picky. It only shows up when it is really delivering the goods. When it does show up it is to tell you to accept the gifts you have and those coming to you. Do not “look a gift horse in the mouth.” Do you know what that means? It means that when The World gives you what you want—accept it with a big THANK YOU. Don’t question it. Don’t downplay it. Don’t say it was a fluke, weird or strange. One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when people get a message from the universe or from a deceased loved one and they say, “That was strange.” Grrrrr. It wasn’t strange! It was REAL! The World asks you to believe that magic and messages are real. Because they ARE.
Accept the gifts, messages, magic and miracles given to you, and be truly, truly, truly, TRULY grateful. The more you do this, the more you will receive from The World.
And then pick up that journey that starts with The Fool, and do it all again!
